black and White MRI Scans.jpg

This project is a personal and creative response to the lived experience of dyslexia. I created this space to challenge the idea that dyslexia is simply a learning difficulty — instead, I see it as a powerful and valid way of thinking that deserves visibility, understanding, and celebration.

Through layered visuals, fragmented text, and sensory distortion, my work explores how neurodivergent minds perceive and process the world differently. Drawing inspiration from MRI brain scans, written language, and emotional memory, I use materials like charcoal, cloth, and watered-down paint to reflect the complexities of internal experience — the kind that often resists traditional expression.

The dysLEXIEa Project is more than just a portfolio. It’s a space for critical reflection, creative advocacy, and honest storytelling. Each piece invites the viewer to look closer — to slow down, embrace ambiguity, and reconsider what is often labelled as "confused" or "incorrect."

Whether you’re here to explore the artwork, learn more about neurodivergent perception, or simply think differently for a moment, I’m glad you’re here. Thank you for taking the time to see things from another perspective.

Welcome to The dysLEXIEa Project
